Tshangla so called sharchokpa is one of the main language spoken in Bhutan, largely in the eastern part of country. It also spoken by some communities in Arunachal Pradesh India and south in Tibet. It is the mother tongue of sharchop people, the largest ethnic group in Bhutan. Sharchop literally means "easterner" in dzongkha. Tshangla is widely spoken and understood in eastern Bhutan, though dzongkha is the national language, tshangla remains dominant in daily life in local communication in the east. It is not an official language, but it is used in school and media like radio in eastern region.
